Grilling in Mallorca: 365 Days of BBQ Weather
Grilling in Mallorca is possible all year round. While in Central Europe the grill season lasts from May to September, the island is a year-round grilling paradise. With over 300 days of sunshine and mild winters, you can practically always cook outdoors. But each season has its own charm when it comes to grilling in Mallorca.
Spring (March – May)
The best time for BBQ courses in Mallorca. Pleasant 18–25°C, long evenings and nature in full bloom. The almond blossom in March is the perfect backdrop for a relaxed BBQ. Seasonal highlights: fresh asparagus from the fields, young artichokes and the first prawns of the season.
Summer (June – August)
Hot, intense and full of energy. Perfect for evening events, when the heat subsides and the sunset bathes the finca in golden light. Now come the best tomatoes, peppers and aubergines – vegetables that caramelise on the plancha and taste of pure summer. Which grill types are suited for which dishes, you can find in our comparison.
Autumn (September – November)
Our insider tip. Temperatures are still warm (20–28C), the tourist crowds are gone and the island shows its most tranquil side. Culinarily, autumn is the crowning glory: olive harvest, fresh Sobrassada production and the wine harvest. A Kamado evening with autumnal flavours – figs, pomegranate, lamb – is unforgettable.
Winter (December – February)
Even in winter, temperatures rarely drop below 10°C. A grill day at 15°C and sunshine while it snows in Germany? In Mallorca, a reality. Winter is the time for hearty dishes: Slow-Smoked Pulled Pork, whole suckling pig or stew in a Dutch Oven over open fire.
Grilling Mallorca: Our Conclusion
Grilling in Mallorca knows no season. There is no wrong time for a BBQ course – only different ingredients and moods. When will you come?
